Teacher-managed student accounts

A teacher can create student accounts, manage class membership and assignments, and see the students' results. The student signs in with an access code managed by the teacher. A school that decides to use AgileFingers is responsible for its own legal basis, notices, and any permissions required for its use of student data. A teacher using the Service outside a school must also have authority to create student accounts and provide any required notices.

Apart from storing data in the database and other AgileFingers internal systems, we store the data in:

• Cookies: Utilized for storing settings, user typing scores, and certain user data.
• Browser Local Storage: Used for storing settings, user scores, and additional data for optimized app performance. For registered users, this includes email address and user name.

When you provide feedback through AgileFingers, we may collect certain information about your settings, browser, operating system, and related details to understand better and address your inquiries. This information is invaluable for troubleshooting, improving our services, and tailoring our support to your needs.

How we use your information

Your information is utilized for:

• Providing requested services for account-related communications, user identification, and personalized exercise recommendations.
• Email address is necessary for resetting password and sending reset password link.
• Improving Our Services: Analyzing user behavior to enhance functionality and user experience. User feedback is crucial for refining our products.
• Personalizing your experience: Your information aids us in tailoring our services to meet your individual needs better.

AgileFingers uses security measures to protect personal information during entry, submission, and access.

Connections to AgileFingers use HTTPS encryption.

Retention and deletion

We keep account and learning data while an account is active, unless you delete specific data or request its erasure. Removing a student blocks access and retains the account and related data for administrator recovery or permanent removal, whether or not the student has saved scores. Removing a class blocks it and its students while retaining the class, assignments, and results for administrator recovery or permanent removal.

Deleting your personal account also blocks the students you manage. Restoring your account does not restore them automatically. Deleted accounts and classes may remain in a retained state until an administrator permanently removes them. Administrators can do that at any time and can review students and classes removed at least 30 days ago with a manual bulk removal control. This is not an automatic 30 day deletion period. A large permanent removal may take more than one run.

To request access to, correction of, or erasure of retained personal data, or to exercise another applicable data protection right, use the contact form. We review requests under applicable law, including any reason we must keep particular data.
