Connect as a student
Enter the code from your teacher.
The student zone is your main hub for class typing practice in AgileFingers. It gives you one clear place to find the tasks your teacher assigned, start your exercises, and track your progress.
You can quickly check your completion status, review your results, and see how your typing is improving. It keeps your class typing work organized and easy to follow.
Student zone help
How to connect to the student zone
- Get the access code from your teacher. In most classes, the teacher gives either a personal student access code or one shared class access code.
- Enter the code in the student zone. The code field accepts both student access codes and class access codes.
- If needed, enter your student name too. This usually happens when the class uses one shared class code instead of separate student codes.
- Open your assigned tasks. After connecting, you can see the work assigned to you and the results linked to that work.
Important: your normal AgileFingers login and your student-zone access code are not the same thing. Even if you already use the site, your teacher may still ask you to enter a student access code or a class access code for class work.
What access code should you use?
The student zone accepts two kinds of codes:
- Student access code - a code meant only for one student.
- Class access code - a shared code used by the whole class.
If your teacher gave you your own code, use that code. If your teacher gave the whole class one shared code, you will also need to enter your student name so the system can identify which student is connecting.
A simple classroom example: one teacher may hand out separate student codes on paper, while another may write one shared class code on the board and ask each student to type it together with their name.
What you can see after connecting
After connecting, the student zone shows the tasks assigned to you and the recorded results for those tasks.
- Task list - the work your teacher assigned through your class.
- Average speed - your average result for the task set shown there.
- All tasks completed - whether every required part was finished.
- All tasks passed - whether the required result was reached.
You may also see details such as deadline, time left, passing result, and separate time limits for lessons and texts.
Homework and in-class assignments
Your teacher can assign two main task types:
- Homework - work with a deadline.
- In-class assignment - work that has a shorter active time window during class.
If a task shows that the deadline has been exceeded, it usually means the task time is over. If you are not sure whether you should still continue, ask your teacher before repeating the work.
Useful tip: do not judge your progress only by the highest speed you see. The more useful sign is whether the whole task was completed and passed at the required accuracy.
People Also Ask (FAQ)
Where do I get the student zone access code?
You usually get it from your teacher. Some classes use one code per student, while others use one shared class code.
Why does the student zone ask for my name after the code?
This usually means your class uses a shared class access code. In that setup, the code identifies the class and your name identifies you inside that class.
Is my normal site login the same as the student access code?
No. These are different things. Your regular login and your class access details may be used in different situations.
What should I do if my access code does not work?
First check whether you entered the correct code and, if needed, the correct student name. If it still does not work, ask your teacher for the correct access details.
